The first Garden and Flower Festival, organized by Beşiktaş Municipality between May 6–14, 2016, took place at Beşiktaş Prof. Dr. Aykut Barka Park. The event was supported by the Turkish Anti-Smoking Association and Istanbul Aydın University Anadolu BIL Vocational School Hair Care and Beauty Services Program. During the event, second-year students from the Hair Care and Beauty Services Program presented their graduation project themed “Nature Speaks, Hair Blooms.” Out of 70 participating students, 27 took part as models. The goal of their work was to emphasize the importance of nature for people and highlight the tranquility it brings.
