Before the 15th Ordinary General Assembly Meeting of the Turkish Anti-Smoking Association, a conference on the harms of smoking was held with the participation of students, academics, and staff from Istanbul Aydın University, members of the Küçükçekmece City Council, and the general public. As part of the conference, Assistant Professor Dr. Cenker Zeki Koyuncuoğlu, a member of the Turkish Anti-Smoking Association’s Board of Directors and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Periodontology at Istanbul Aydın University Faculty of Dentistry, gave a seminar on “The Reality of Smoking’s Impact on Oral Health.” Assistant Professor Dr. Nevzat Bilgin, a Faculty Member and Associate Dean at the Faculty of Health Sciences at Istanbul Aydın University and an Executive Board Member of the Turkish Anti-Smoking Association, delivered a seminar on “The Reality of Smoking” from a public health perspective. Following the presentations, the speakers answered questions from the youth, and at the end of the conference, President Dr. Mustafa Aydın and the Chairman of the Supervisory Board and Rector of Istanbul Aydın University, Prof. Dr. Yadigar İzmirli, presented plaques.
