Prof. Dr. Melahat Dönmez, President of the Executive Board of the Turkish Association for the Fight Against Tobacco (TSSD), delivered an informative seminar on “The Harms of Smoking” at Zeynep Kamil Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School.

The seminar thoroughly addressed the negative health effects of smoking. Prof. Dr. Dönmez provided students with comprehensive information on the diseases caused by smoking, its addictive effects, and its social and economic consequences. Additionally, she emphasized the need for smoking prevention and the promotion of healthy lifestyle habits.

Prof. Dr. Dönmez highlighted the importance of protecting young people from smoking addiction and making healthy choices. At the end of the seminar, students had the opportunity to ask questions about smoking prevention and healthy living.

Prof. Dr. Dönmez noted that organizing such educational sessions in schools contributes to raising awareness among young people and enhancing their knowledge about smoking prevention. She also stated that future seminars will continue in this direction, aiming to increase public awareness.
