
Kadir Dikici, President of the Konya Branch of the Turkish Association for the Fight Against Tobacco (TSSD), delivered an informative seminar on the harms of smoking at Selçuklu Hocacihan Anatolian Imam Hatip High School.
During the seminar, the negative health effects of smoking were thoroughly discussed. Students were informed about the diseases caused by smoking, the mechanisms of addiction, and the social and economic consequences of smoking. Mr. Dikici also highlighted the steps needed to prevent smoking on both individual and societal levels.
Emphasizing the importance of such educational efforts in helping young people avoid smoking and adopt healthy lifestyles, Mr. Dikici stated that the seminar had a positive impact on the students and was crucial for raising awareness.
At the end of the seminar, students had the opportunity to engage in one-on-one discussions with Mr. Dikici to ask questions and gain further information on the topic. It was noted that these educational sessions will continue regularly, aiming to enhance public awareness in the fight against smoking.
